My Top Five Favorite Books on my Book Shelf

In no particular order…

  1. Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
  2. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
  3. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
  4. The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer (I read the series 4 times and the first three books another time after that)
  5. Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks

I believe you can learn a lot about a person by what they read. People read for many different reasons. Some people read to go to a place opposite of where they currently are. Some people love to walk in other people’s footsteps. Some people read to find adventure they wouldn’t find anywhere else because they can’t or they’re too afraid. Some people read for the pure enjoyment of it. There are so many reasons to read.

My favorite way to read a book is to sit in my bed, the car or my beanbag chair on a hot summer day and read a book in one sitting. That is the way I have read most of my books. I take breaks to eat and such but then I go right back to my book. I love to read like this because then I get lost in the story and the details are more vivid in my mind. This is a perfect day for me.

From my list of books you can tell I am a lover of romance novels. Every single book on that list has a romantic plot line within it. I have loved love stories for as long as I remember. Whenever I find myself reaching for a book it is often by Nicholas Sparks. I would love to meet or talk to him a some point in my life; I have so many questions.

To me, reading is a way of expanding my horizons. Love stories have helped me to learn what to find in a relationship. Some people might think these books cause people to want partners that reach unbelievable standards. Maybe thats true. But to me, it shows what to look for in someone. You don’t necessarily have to have what happens in the books, but these books are a good guide. And so far, these books have helped me. Reading has helped to guide me into who I am and what I want in life. I have been in a relationship for just under four years now, and it has been everything I could hope for. These books have helped to guide me here.

You may find something in a book you never expected to find; whether it is the ending of the plot or the beginning of a discovery within yourself. What are your favorite books on your book shelf?

Okay... so something about me. I love dogs(who doesn't?). Oh, cats too. I love hearing people's stories. I love being organized. I love letting loose. I love Summer. I love the rain and house-shaking thunderstorms. I like when things match. I love to exercise and aim for a happier and healthier lifestyle. I am an art fanatic(speaking of which, I should work on a new post about art). I love my family. I love my friends. I love my boyfriend. I love the feeling of being free. I love DIYs. I could list so many more things, I love but there's the gist. Now for some structured writing...I am currently a college student who has always wanted to find a way to give someone a spark or the initiative to do something they have always wanted to do. With this blog I want to show you different crafts, show you different movies or television shows or give you some insight on what is going on with me. By doing this I hope that something that I post will inspire you to try something new or something that you've always wanted to try.

  1. I’m a huge Twilight fan too! I also really loved Stephanie Meyer’s other book – The Host. Have you had a chance to read that? I highly recommend it!

  2. Hi – I didn’t recognise any of the titles or authors mentioned. I would have appreciated a brief summary as to what the books are about. As I read more of your post I realise they are romantic books. That’s really interesting to hear that you use these books as a guide to what to look for in a relationship and that you are currently enjoying one that offers you everything you could hope for. Congratulations – not everyone can make that claim 🙂
I popped over from the Community Pool. I also responded to your enquiry about the WP courses and hope my response inspires you to attend one.
Best wishes for you and your blog.
